(0:00) The world of free AIR generators has definitely changed. Ideogram now only gives you 10 images (0:07) per week and one of my previous go-to websites, glyph.app, doesn't even allow commercial use (0:13) with the graphics that you generated for free. So I've decided to do some new research and find (0:19) you what's right now the top five free AIR generators for POD. My criteria for this was (0:26) I wanted to find some tools that give you a decent amount of images every single day that (0:30) grant you commercial usage rights even with the free credits and I want the tools to have a style (0:36) that actually matches t-shirt designs and can help you out with your POD business. Now just a quick (0:42) disclaimer, always check the terms and conditions of these tools before you start using them (0:46) because whilst at the time of recording they give you commercial usage rights with the free plan (0:51) that might change a few months or a year down the line. In the number five spot we've got (0:57) Leonardo AI which based on these images right here is actually a pretty good free option to (1:03) get print on demand graphics. So I've been testing a little bit right here with the free plan and (1:08) that gives you 150 tokens or credits per day and the amount of images you get out of that totally (1:14) depends on which model you choose. So if I click on the image tool right here on the left you've (1:19) got the choice of a bunch of different models. Flux dev probably gets the best results for (1:23) print on demand and graphic design is also a decent option. If you look at my previous results right (1:29) here we've got the Leonardo Phoenix 0.9 that doesn't look very good. The graphic design model (1:35) right here I think turned out some pretty nice results for this Daccent design and then we've (1:40) got Phoenix 1.0 which is quite a lot more detailed. I don't really love that style but it could work (1:47) for some specific use cases or niches and then here we've got Flux dev which in my opinion gets (1:52) some of the best results for POD designs. So definitely some good options and not to be (1:58) underrated. I haven't talked about Leonardo for a while but they still have a really good free (2:02) offering and you have commercial use included with that. So how do you actually use it then? (2:06) So you've got the prompt bar at the top you can copy and paste your prompts into this and then (2:11) on the left hand side you can select the model. Flux dev uses 40 credits or 40 tokens as it's (2:18) called in Leonardo to generate four images. Now unfortunately you can't turn down the amount of (2:24) images generated per prompt on the free plan it just kind of blocks you out right here and tells (2:29) you to upgrade meaning that you can only affect the amount of tokens by changing the model. So (2:34) if we change this to graphic design that takes it down to 14 credits for four images. So whilst that (2:40) graphic design model wasn't as great in my opinion it's actually a lot cheaper. So bear that in mind (2:45) when you choose a model right here but feel free to test out any of the other ones as well depending (2:49) on what end result you want to get. The other settings on the left they also change based on (2:54) the model. So Flux dev has for example prompt enhance kind of like magic prompt which you can (2:59) turn off if you want to. The graphic design model doesn't have that. It has some style presets and (3:04) a contrast setting but you can typically change the image dimensions so if you want yours to be (3:09) more portrait you can also affect that here. But let's just run this as an example and the prompt (3:14) that I've entered just hit generate for Flux dev and do the graphic design one as well right here. (3:21) Maybe we'll set that to the taller kind of portrait format I think custom. Does custom work? It does (3:26) actually work on the free plan that's quite surprising. So let's do four by five and hit (3:32) generate for that and here we go the Flux dev models come back with some decent results nature (3:38) my therapy spelled correctly. I think the graphics in this look pretty good too but it does sometimes (3:43) get spelling mistakes so this is definitely not a perfect model when it comes to text accuracy (3:47) whereas the graphic design model kind of falls apart here a little bit. The text just isn't (3:52) really there so if you're using that you want to stick to graphic only designs. To download your (3:57) creations you need to hover over the image and click this download button and then they'll be (4:02) saved to your device and by the way the link to Leonardo and all of the other tools I'm going to (4:06) mention will be in the description down below. If you want to get access to weekly niches and prompts (4:12) that actually get you sales then follow the first link in the description. In the number four spot (4:17) we've got Gentube.app. This is a tool that I found recently and they've got an incredibly good (4:23) free offering because they give you unlimited images with commercial use for free and I've (4:29) confirmed this with their team because I didn't believe it myself and they've also been around (4:33) for a year now so these are not brand new they've been doing this kind of free plan for absolutely (4:39) ages and if we look at the results that I've been getting with this tool they're not amazing to be (4:44) fair so I do understand there have to be some drawbacks if it's completely free and unlimited. (4:48) There are some decent results here like this sunset design of a bear at the lake I think that (4:52) looks quite decent and we've got the the sausage dog with the cowboy hat and I also had a pretty (4:57) nice graphic right here with this kind of messy hair bun style and a leopard print in the sunglasses (5:02) so you can get decent results but they're not going to be like mind-blowingly good like some (5:07) of the other tools. So how do you use this one? Well they actually have a pretty cool live prompting (5:13) feature if I click into this create mask right at the top I can first of all change the aspect ratio (5:18) with these three buttons so you want it to be a square you can select that and then you also have (5:23) the option of draft mode. Now if you have this turned off then everything you create goes live (5:29) and people can find it on the Gentube kind of discovery page. If you enable the draft mode (5:35) like this then these images that you generate they won't go live however they will be deleted (5:41) if you just click away from them so you have to download them before leaving the website (5:46) essentially but I know for some of you the kind of private generations is very important so there (5:50) is an option for this or even on this kind of free account I'm on and they don't even have a paid (5:55) option so anyway now how do you create your graphics you just start typing out your prompt (6:00) and it will generate as you're going so for example a cute t-shirt design graphic of a (6:04) kawaii dachshund and you can see it's trying to generate something right there as I'm going (6:09) right that already looks a lot better and then let's say wearing a pink cowboy hat that also (6:15) looks quite nice and sunglasses there we go and that's a pretty nice result you can keep going (6:21) at this as well as a pink collar it's kind of done that already and I spelled that wrong so yeah (6:26) every time you change something in the prompt it will start refreshing and you can further refine (6:31) isolated on a white background as you're going so it's really really easy and kind of intuitive in (6:37) that sense because you can make easy changes to it and if I don't like that I just add a little (6:41) symbol and there we go it'll regenerate it you can go back as well if you preferred one of the (6:46) previous results like I think this looks quite nice if you remove the red background then you (6:50) can right click on this and save it to your device like that there is no save button here as far as I (6:55) can tell if you click any of these buttons it can save it to your profile and then it goes public (7:01) so if you want to keep these private just right click save the image and then move on to the next (7:06) prompt or to your next generation and it won't be available anywhere no one will be able to find it (7:11) but what you can do technically as well I think you can save it to the profile for now and then (7:16) later delete it let me just check that yeah so if I'm not happy with this image I can click on (7:20) these three dots and choose hide and then image removed from profile so technically you can just do (7:26) this publicly for a while and then save all of the images later and then you can just delete them (7:31) afterwards if I refresh my page it should now show yeah the new Daxun design and the other one I just (7:37) hid is gone so definitely a really cool kind of creative AI tool with the way it generates as (7:43) you're typing you also have some kind of preset styles right here that you can automatically or (7:48) quickly add with these buttons to your prompt Christmas pattern sleek studio ghibli you've got (7:53) minimalist right here you can also add different color schemes so it has some cool presets definitely (7:58) a nice tool very easy to use especially considering it's free and you can experiment with this all day (8:04) along there's no limits and all of these are free for commercial use moving on to the top three and (8:11) the third place goes to revi image 1.0 or rev I'm still not sure how to pronounce it this model is (8:18) really really cool because most of the results are very usable for print to demand so I tried a bunch (8:24) of different styles right here and generally they all look great there's the odd spelling mistake or (8:29) you might get like a t-shirt mock-up occasionally but generally if you know how to write prompts (8:33) you will get some pretty good results we've got ride more worry less right here for this mountain (8:37) biking design definitely looks really good and then we've got some plant designs this one I think (8:42) with the llama it looks amazing so this is definitely a great great option not just because (8:47) the results look good but also because you get a lot of free credits if you go to the account as (8:52) soon as you sign up and create an account you get a hundred free paid credits and it is one image (8:58) per credit so very simple system meaning you get a hundred free images straight away when you sign (9:05) up and on top of that every single day you will get 20 additional credits and these kind of refill (9:12) on a daily basis they don't add on top of your tally of like a hundred but even if you run out (9:17) of these you can always do 23 images per day which is amazing because if you paste a prompt into this (9:23) you can choose how many images this prompt should generate so unlike leonardo which forces you to (9:29) do four and kind of drain your credit so your tokens more quickly here you have more control (9:33) and if you want to get the most out of your revi credits then just keep this at one and then you can (9:39) have 20 completely different designs every single day on top of the 100 that you get upon sign up so (9:45) let's try this one right here with the dachshund wearing the pink cowboy hat you can change the (9:50) aspect ratio as well by the way if you want to and the enhanced feature right here is essentially (9:55) magic prompt so let's run this twice once with this turned off and once with it turned on the (10:01) last button right here is for seeds that's not particularly important and i think those look (10:06) pretty good this one didn't turn out great but this result on in the middle is really really (10:11) nice you can also change the view by the way if you click on two right here it will zoom it in (10:14) further and if you want to see more images at a glance just change this to a larger number so (10:20) pretty pretty cool air generator you've also got some additional features like instruct so if you (10:24) want to make changes to this you could say you know make the sunglasses pink as well and then (10:30) it's going to rerun this and it's quite intuitive in that fashion so really good tool lots and lots (10:35) of free credits it's very easy to use very intuitive and wow that's that's a very good (10:39) result i'm very happy with that and i would definitely use it in a design so yeah this (10:44) is a great option the link will be down below and have fun designing in the second place we've got (10:50) chat gpt this is a tool that i use pretty much every single day at this point and you can get (10:56) a lot of use out of it even on a free plan now don't get me wrong there is definitely some limits (11:01) and you won't get as many images out of it as you would do with revi or with gentube but the (11:07) fact is that the 4o model that this uses and that you can use on the free plan as well gets insanely (11:12) good results it's very very accurate with text as well it can follow instructions extremely well (11:19) and chat gpt can also in the same breath help you with research and coming up with design ideas (11:25) which all of these other tools cannot do on top of that you can also use custom gpts on the free (11:31) plan now which is absolutely amazing so this is definitely a great option all of these were (11:36) generated in the same day and they are amazing t-shirt designs that have no spelling mistakes (11:41) and could be used as they are so once i hit the limit though it said this resets in 16 hours and (11:47) four minutes i also checked can i use dally 3 during this time but no that's not a thing anymore (11:52) and when i asked how many images can i generate on the free plan per day with the 4o model it said (11:57) this definitely varies so it's not always the exact same number but typically it's around 14 to (12:03) 20 images per day which is still pretty damn good considering this is like one of the best if not (12:08) the best ai art model right now i think this number might be a bit lower sometimes you might (12:13) just get 5 to 10 images out of it per day but still you can use it for research for coming up (12:19) meanwhile and coming up with prompts as well to use in all the other free tools i've already (12:23) mentioned and in order to use it essentially what you want to do is start a new chat then you can (12:28) click on tools create an image and then this is where you want to put your prompt now if i hit (12:33) enter on this it's probably not going to let me do this yeah because i've hit the limit and it (12:37) resets in one hour but i'll just throw up the image right here in the edit so you can see what (12:42) this would have turned out like now just to give you a few quick examples of how you might use this (12:47) to come up with design ideas or phrase ideas it's very very simple and straightforward you just talk (12:52) to it like a human so for example help me come up with some puns and funny phrases for a raccoon (12:58) design for example and then you want to hit enter and see what it comes up with now not all of these (13:04) are going to be perfect but occasionally you'll find some really really good suggestions right (13:08) here what you can do as well is you could say help me come up with t-shirt design ideas for the raccoon (13:13) niche and it should go a little bit more in depth of what's actually inside the designs and what (13:19) text to add and it has different styles right here so we've got the cartoon style we've got silhouette (13:24) raccoon and a yoga pose so that's definitely a cool cross-niche idea for a retro raccoon design (13:29) suggestion so this is a very very quick and good brainstorming tool and you can now even say give (13:35) me some prompts to use for all of these ideas have them isolated on a white background and let's see (13:43) what it comes back with so there we go you get some quick simple prompts right here whether they're (13:47) going to get the best results i don't know without testing it but as you can see you can very quickly (13:51) get some results and some actual data that you can use within your designs even if you've hit the (13:56) rate limit when it comes to image generation on top of that if i go to explore gpts and type in (14:02) merch on demand right here then you should be able to find the listing assistant which i've built and (14:08) now you can even use these custom gpts on the free plan except for when you've hit the rate limit so (14:14) that is kind of in the way for me right there so i can't click anything right now but once that (14:18) resets i would be able to use the gpt to help me generate a listing for a specific niche so i could (14:24) type in for the raccoon niche i could give it a list of keywords related to my design and then (14:29) it will build a listing for amazon merch based on that or you can even upload an image of your design (14:33) it will then scan the image and write listings based on that so just a quick tip use custom gpts (14:40) right here to help you out in your workflow that also works on the free version except for when you (14:44) hit the rate limit and the winner the first place in this countdown is playground and in my personal (14:52) opinion this is not a sponsored video by the way this is the best tool right now that you can use (14:57) for free because they give you 10 images every three hours so you can use it a lot throughout (15:02) the day and they are designed for print on demand sellers unlike all of the other tools so you have (15:08) a ton of templates right here for different categories you've got mugs hats you've got t-shirts (15:12) sticker designs invites and all of these templates can be easily edited and customized to your liking (15:19) and the thing is you can also filter at the top right here so father's day is coming up so click (15:24) on this and you've got all the templates filtered out that are aimed at father's day and let me show (15:29) you how to actually use one of these so let's say you really like this design right here you can (15:34) just click on the template and then you can say change the text to say stay wild and feral let's (15:42) hit enter on this and see what it comes up with it just takes a few seconds to regenerate the design (15:48) and there we go we've got the same skull same layout except it's changed the word feral at the (15:53) you can also tell it to change the graphics so change the skull to a raccoon wearing a bandana (16:00) let's do that and hit enter on this as well so as you can see it's definitely very easy to use (16:04) and there's not a lot of buttons to click with you just talk to it like you would do to a human (16:09) similar to chat gpt stay wild and feral there we go when i've got a raccoon instead and you've also (16:15) got a choice between different models right here so this one is the one that refills every three (16:20) hours that's why it says seven left you know that's the the 10 limit that you have this one (16:26) doesn't refill as often it's the 4o image model which you can use for editing as well but on the (16:31) free plan that is quite limited so playground v3 is the one that you need to choose you can also (16:36) change the style right here very quickly at the click of a button so you've got a ton of presets (16:40) and you can see kind of a preview of what it's going to look like so that's definitely really (16:44) cool you can insert images as well into these designs you can resize to different dimensions (16:50) if you want to and change the color palette with this button at the end you've got a lot (16:54) of presets right here that are applicable to print on demand you've got an eraser tool so (16:59) if there's any little imperfections right here things you want to get rid of then you've got (17:03) that built in as well which is really handy just click erase and then it should take that out for (17:07) you there we go that was really quick and then if you want to save your design you click on (17:11) export right here and just choose the top button to save it to your device what i also really like (17:16) about playground is that whilst you're editing a design or a template you can click on the explore (17:20) page and it will show you a lot of related templates so you'll see raccoons you'll see (17:24) your stuff in a similar style and this way you'll quickly find stuff that you wouldn't have found (17:29) necessarily on the template page now there are some that are limited to the pro plan right here (17:35) and if you're struggling to find good free ones one tip is going back to the create page then (17:40) clicking on t-shirt and sorting this by newest that way you can see the templates that have been (17:45) added to the library most recently and those are typically free so if you scroll all the way down (17:51) it should keep loading more and more up so this is a quick way to find sort of free templates (17:56) because the trendy ones they will often have some pro ones right here mixed in as well you can also (18:01) technically start from a prompt so you've got this floating bar at the bottom you can enter your own (18:06) prompt if you wanted to but these are being generated with the 4.0 model i'm pretty sure (18:10) which is limited to just three uses on the free plan i'm not sure how often it resets definitely (18:16) not on a daily basis so anyway that's kind of a quick overview of how to use this don't discard (18:21) the other categories either like if you click into stickers you'll find a bunch of cool design (18:25) templates in this as well that would work on t-shirts and the mugs category as well will have (18:30) some decent designs oftentimes coffee mugs and t-shirt designs they kind of cross over a little (18:35) bit so it's worth checking out the other categories too if you're running out of examples or ideas in (18:39) the t-shirt category if you want to learn more about playground all you have to do is click on (18:44) this video next where i go over some of the recent updates and give you tips on how to (18:48) properly use it for print on demand
